Nomination

Get those lights out of the attic! It’s time for “Holiday Lights,” the annual holiday decorating contest.

Our judges will be roaming the City until Christmas eve, or you can nominate a house yourself – even your own. Residents and business owners are encouraged to have their lights on and make sure the address is easily visible.

For the residential contest, one house from each of the five designated areas will be awarded. The areas are: DeVeaux, Highland, Hyde Park, South End, and LaSalle. Homeowners who have won their area in the past three years are not eligible to compete.

For the Commercial/Small Business Contest, one business will be judged “Best Decorated Business”. The areas being judged are: Downtown Niagara Falls, Pine Avenue, Niagara Street, Main Street, Highland, and LaSalle. Businesses who have won in the past three years are not eligible to compete.
