Get those lights out of the attic! It’s time for “Holiday Lights,” the annual holiday decorating contest.

Our judges will be roaming the City the weekend of December 16th to December 18th, between the hours of 6-9pm. Residents and business owners are encouraged to have their lights on and make sure the address is easily visible. Winners will be announced in the Niagara Gazette.

For the residential contest, one house from each of the six designated areas will be awarded. The areas are: DeVeaux, Highland, Hyde Park, South End, LaSalle East and LaSalle West. Homeowners who have won their area in the past five years are not eligible to compete.

For the Commercial/Small Business Contest, one business will be judged “Best Decorated Business” and will receive a quarter page ad in the Niagara Gazette. The areas being judged are: Downtown Niagara Falls, Pine Avenue, Niagara Street, Main Street, Highland and LaSalle. Businesses who have won in the past three years are not eligible to compete.
